I'm a Famous Author! I have received so many letters from your readers, some as far away as England. I was amazed at the amount of letters supporting not only my feeling of why parents should get involved, but the support of complete strangers as to why Scouting is a positive outlet for our children. Also, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your efforts in compiling a newsletter like The Scouting Way. Each month many of the letters are brought up at our monthly Leaders meeting. Without these efforts I would have never met the great people who read your newsletter. Many e-mail our Pack weekly now! My children now view me as a famous Cubmaster, with international ties, and I guess you can say, the 96+ boys and parents from the school that sponsors our Pack are very proud to have a published Leader at the helm. Without The Scouting Way none of this would have been possible. My children are attempting to get me to write more stories in hopes I will make your next book. I can only laugh at them. I have explained that your book is more of a "Who's Who" and that I would never have that capability. My eldest son has mention that I write to you about the inspirational thoughts that I wrote for our last Blue and Gold. But I must admit, having just made the newsletter has made my days as Cubmaster complete. I will cherish this for the rest of my life! Again I would like to thank you for everything you have done. Not just for me, but for everyone who has a little Scout left in them. I pray that one day we will see the values that we attempt to teach these boys come full circle. Every day = The Scouting Way!
